Devil May Cry: Never DeadIn the city, the sky turns red and Nero sees the crimson.
“I have a feeling something bad’s gonna happen.” Says Nero.
Suddenly demons fall from the red skies! The people flee in fear to safety from the apocalyptic sight!
“I knew this would happen!” Says Nero.
Nero runs to the demons and begins to fight them! Slicing them all with his sword!
A hawk like demon lands on the ground and glares at Nero.
“I didn’t expect any humans to be foolish enough to fight.” Says the Hawk Demon.
“Well, you keep attacking our world. How would you like it if some monsters came to your world and started attacking you?” Asks Nero.
“The weak must perish while the strong conquer them.” Says the Hawk Demon.
The Hawk Demon prepares to attack Nero but a figure leaps into the sky and slices one of the Hawk Demon’s wings!
“Man is it me, or are things just getting uglier every day?” Says the Figure.
“Say, who’re you supposed to be?” Asks Nero.
“They call me Bryce Boltzmann. It looks like I made it here just in time.”
“Anyway, we should hurry up and get rid of this demon.” Says Nero.
And so both Nero and Bryce charge at the Hawk Demon.
After a few minutes of fighting the Hawk Demon falls to the ground. The two heroes prepare to finish their foe but suddenly Skeleton Demons appear for a surprise attack! This gives the Hawk Demon time to retreat.
The two heroes quickly destroy the Skeleton Demons.
“Well that’s that. But I have a feeling there someone bigger behind this.” Says Nero.
“I think I know who. It must be the Demon King called Astaroth.” Says Bryce Boltzmann.
Outside of the city the Hawk Demon flies to a mountain top to meet with Astaroth.
“He has returned. Bryce Boltzmann.” Says the Hawk Demon.
“I see. And you failed to kill him.” Says Astaroth.
“It wasn’t my fault, he was with a powerful Demon Hunter and the fact that you’ve given him immortality.” Says the Hawk Demon.
“You dare make excuses in my presence? You will suffer for that.” Says Astaroth.
Astaroth summons Tentacles to tear the Hawk Demon apart.
“Now, the time to finish what I started with you Bryce Boltzmann and your new companion.” Says Astaroth.
Back in the city, Nero and Bryce go to a building to meet with Arcadia Maximille.
“Hey there, did you miss me?” Asks Bryce.
“I’m glad you’re here. Because right now this city is under attack by Demons.” Says Arcadia Maximille.
“Yeah that’s pretty obvious. Anyway, how’re we supposed to find this Astaroth guy?” Says Nero.
“We’re looking into it now.” Says Arcadia.
Suddenly a news report draws their attention. It tells of Piranha Demons coming from the ocean.
“Ok, finding the Demon King can wait. We need to get rid of those Piranhas.” Says Nero.
And with that, Nero and Bryce go outside.
On the beach the Piranha Demons begin attacking people. One of them grabs a person but Nero shoots the Piranha Demon forcing them to let go.
“Hey! Don’t you know to keep your hands to yourself?” Asks Nero.
“You think you’re so clever don’t you?” Asks the Piranha Demon.
“Well now that you mention it, I am pretty clever huh?” Asks Nero.
“Cocky punk. We’ll rip you to shreds!” Says one of the Piranha Demons.
After a few minutes of fighting, both Nero and Bryce destroy all of the Piranha Demons.
“Looks like the beach is safe.” Says Bryce.
They receive a call from Arcadia.
“I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that I have the location of Astaroth.” Says Arcadia.
“And the bad news?” Asks Bryce.
“The demons are making their way to my location.” Says Arcadia.
“Says no more! We’re on our way!” Says Bryce.
And with that they quickly go to rescue Arcadia.
In the streets both Nero and Bryce quickly run to the Arcadia’s location and head inside.
They see Demonic Tanks and Helicopters being controlled by demons.
“Ok, that’s really not fair.” Says Bryce.
“What did you expect? These demons play dirty.” Says Nero.
A Tank Demon fires it’s cannon at the two! They quickly Dodge.
Nero runs to the Tank Demons and grabs one of them throwing them into another Tank Demon.
Bryce leaps into the air and begins slicing the Helicopter Demons.
One of the Helicopter Demons glares at Bryce.
“Don’t think your immortality will save you from us. We will take this city, and the world!” Says the Helicopter Demon.
“I wouldn’t bet on that.” Says Bryce.
He kicks the Helicopter Demon.
They go inside to see if Arcadia is ok.
Arcadia walks to the two heroes.
“So, you have the info on Astaroth?” Asks Bryce.
“Yeah. He’s in the Mountains.” Says Arcadia.
“Ok, that’s our next location.” Says Bryce.
And so the two make their exit to go to their next destination.
They board a boat and sail to the mountains.
“Say, that demon said you’re immortal. That true?” Asks Nero.
“Yeah, it is. A long time ago me and my wife Cypher battled Astaroth and it didn’t go too well. In some kind of sick and twisted punishment he made me immortal. My wife died.” Says Bryce.
“Man, some people are afraid of dying. But living forever sounds like a living hell.” Says Nero.
“I know. But what’s done is done. We can’t change the past.” Says Bryce.
“But we can change the future by getting rid of Astaroth.” Says Nero.
“Yeah I agree with that.” Says Bryce.
And so they reach their Destination.
Astaroth watches the two from above.
“Come forth, let us finish this.” Says Astaroth.
The two reach the mountains and look up.
“You mean to tell me we have to climb all the way to the top?” Says Bryce.
“Looks like it.” Says Nero.
“Ok. Let’s get this over with then.” Says Bryce.
And so the two climb their way to the top.
They reach their destination and see a castle.
“That must be where Astaroth is. I could never understand what’s up with these demons and castles.” Says Bryce.
“Must be an obsession with power. Too bad for them we’re going to be tearing it down.” Says Nero.
The two enter the castle.
While inside they look around and see demons coming their way. They quickly destroy the demons and continue on their way.
They reach a large door and open it to find Astaroth himself.
“We meet again, Bryce Boltzmann. I see you’ve brought the grandson of Sparta.” Says Astaroth.
“Yeah. Last time we met you tried to conquer the human world. This time I’m going to finish you off for good.” Says Bryce.
“Unfortunately that will not happen. You will suffer.” Says Astaroth.
“You demons talk big, but you fall bigger too.” Says Nero.
Astaroth’s body begins to grow and as he grows the castle around him begins crumble.
“I will enjoy tearing you both apart!” Says Astaroth.
After a few minutes of fighting both Nero and Bryce continually attack Astaroth making him angrier!
“Enough of this! I give you immortality and I can take it away from you!” Says Astaroth.
Astaroth uses one of his demonic tentacles to attack Bryce! It drains him of his immortality!
Nero quickly slices the tentacle forcing Bryce to fall to the ground.
“Hey! Are you gonna be ok?” Asks Nero.
“Yeah, I’m a little exhausted but I can stand.” Says Bryce.
“There. I made you human again. Now you can DIE like one!” Says Astaroth.
“There’s still one thing left to do. Destroy you!” Says Bryce.
They continue attacking Astaroth.
He falls to his knees. Nero charges at Astaroth and grabs him by the throat striking him in the face.
“To think Humans have this power!” Says Astaroth.
“Life’s a drag isn’t it?” Says Nero.
Nero raises his sword and slices Astaroth’s head in two, slaying the demon.
The mountains quake and begin to crumble to the ground.
“I think this is our cue to get out of here!” Says Bryce.
“Agreed!” Says Nero.
The two run down the mountain at top speed! Bryce tries to run faster but he collapses, Nero quickly lifts him to his feet.
“Oh no! You’re not going to die here!” Says Nero.
They find a plane waiting for them. The Pilot? Arcadia Maximille!
“C’mon you two it’s time to get out of here!” Says Arcadia.
The two heroes run to the plane and with all their might leap inside!
The plane leaves right in the nick of time!
“So, did you finally destroy him?” Asks Arcadia.
“Yeah. It’s finally over.” Says Bryce.
The next day, Bryce goes to the grave of his late wife. Nero walks behind him.
“So, that’s your wife?” Asks Nero.
“Yes. I never thought I was going to see her in the afterlife. But I think that may just be sooner than later.” Says Bryce.
Bryce begins to breathe heavily. Nero runs to Bryce!
“Hey! Don’t throw away your life just yet! You’ve still got a ways to go.” Says Nero.
“I suppose you’re right about that. There’s still some things I have to do for this city.” Says Bryce.
He quickly gets up.
“Just be patient. I’ll be with you soon.” Says Bryce to his wife.
And so, Bryce walks away from the grave. Nero walks with him.
