Deadpool in Eat LeadIn an office building, a woman names Deianira formulates a plan to destroy all of the video games in the world.
“Excellent! My plan is almost complete! Once all of the video games are gone, everyone will praise me!” Says Deianira.
Meanwhile, a video game character named Matt Hazard combats soldiers. He’s in a level that is located in a battlefield.
Suddenly the enemies freeze, this confuses Matt Hazard.
“Ummm ok, what’s going on here?” Asks Matt Hazard.
Deadpool appears and has a look around.
“Hmmm, looks like I made it here in time.” Says Deadpool.
“Waitaminute. You’re not part of this game are you?” Asks Matt Hazard.
“You’re right! I’m not. I’m here to investigate what’s going on. You see, video games are disappearing.” Says Deadpool.
“That would explain why these enemies aren’t moving. But who’s responsible for this?” Asks Matt Hazard.
“Simple, somebody who really doesn’t like video games.” Says Deadpool.
Suddenly computer viruses appear!
“I think that’s the reason they’re disappearing!” Says Matt Hazard.
“You got that right! So what do ya say? Help me get rid of them?” Asks Deadpool.
“Of course!” Says Matt Hazard.
And so they begin firing at the computer viruses!
They destroy them all until a giant computer virus appears.
“Wow that’s a big one!” Says Deadpool.
The giant computer virus gives a mighty roar at the two!
After a few minutes of fighting, the Giant Computer Virus falls to the ground.
A portal appears.
“C’mon! If we get rid of those computer viruses all of the video games will be saved!” Says Deadpool.
“Also I’ll get to keep my job. Let’s go!” Says Matt Hazard.
And with that, they enter the portal.
Meanwhile Deianira creates new viruses to spread to even more video games.
One of her employees enters her office.
“Ma’am we have a problem. One of the viruses that you sent out got destroyed.” Says the employee.
“That’s impossible, I created those viruses to be invincible. Someone must be trying to stop me.” Says Deianira.
“What do we do? If our viruses are destroyed then that means they’re coming for us.” Says the employee.
“Do not think such things! We are creating a perfect world and if we find the person? We’ll crush them.” Says Deianira.
“Of course.” Says the employee.
Elsewhere, Deadpool and Matt Hazard find themselves in a Medieval themed game.
“This looks like an RPG.” Says Matt Hazard.
“I’m not really into the Roleplaying Strategy stuff. I’m more of a Hack ‘n Slash kinda guy!” Says Deadpool.
The two look ahead and see a virus in the shape of a Dragon!
“Well, I guess it’s time we slay us a Dragon.” Says Deadpool.
The two charge at the dragon and raise their swords to attack!
After a few minutes of fighting, Deadpool and Matt Hazard leap into the air and both combined slice the head off of the Dragon Virus!
“Back to the digital underworld you go!” Says Deadpool.
A portal appears and the two enter.
They now find themselves in an underwater base.
Matt Hazard looks at the computers and sees the ocean being polluted by the viruses.
“Oh come on now! It’s bad enough you’re trying to get rid of all the video games, but now they’re ruining the ocean?” Says Matt Hazard.
“I know! It’s like these guys have no respect!” Says Deadpool.
The two enter one of the Base’s many submarines and begin firing torpedoes at the viruses.
“That takes care of the viruses in the level! But, what about the ocean?” Asks Matt Hazard.
“Not to worry, I have something for that.” Says Deadpool.
Deadpool digitally summons a vacuum cleaner and sucks all of the pollution out of the digital sea!
“That’s more like it!” Says Matt Hazard.
Suddenly, they receive a call from Deianira!
“So, you’re the two who’re trying to stop my plans of destroying all of the video games in the world.” Says Deianira.
“You’re behind all of this? Why?” Asks Matt Hazard.
“You want to know why? Fine. I’ll tell you. Video games cause so much violence. I’m here to get rid of them! To cleanse this world Says Deianira.
“So you’re sending in viruses that corrupt them and ruining this ocean? You not see the double standard?” Asks Deadpool.
“That ocean is not real, so it doesn’t count. Anyway, I can’t let you guys get in my way. I’m going to get rid of you right here and now!” Says Deianira.
She summons an Octopus shaped virus.
“This one will tear you apart!” Says Deianira.
“Then we’ll take it to the surface!” Says Matt Hazard.
And so they head towards an Island with the Octopus virus in tow!
The two exit the submarine and the Octopus virus exits the ocean.
“I hope you’re ready for some sushi! Because we’ve got a huge order to fill!” Says Deadpool.
After a few minutes of fighting, both Deadpool and Matt Hazard continue slicing the Octopus virus into tiny pieces!
Another digital portal appears and the two quickly enter.
They find themselves in a mysterious Supercomputer level.
Matt Hazard ponders to himself.
“Got something on your mind Hazard?” Asks Deadpool.
“Yeah. Video gaming used to be fun. But now, everything’s so complicated. Every five years a new console is made and boy trying to get used to a new system is really complicated. Don’t even get me started on DLC and Microtransactions!” Says Matt Hazard.
“I know, things were much simpler back in the day. But hey, as long as people are enjoying the game and having fun, that’s all that matters.” Says Deadpool.
“Well I guess you do have a point about that. C’mon let’s find that crazy lady and put an end to this.” Says Matt Hazard.
“Now that’s the Spirit!” Says Deadpool.
And so they continue forward.
They reach a door and open it only to be met with an Arena.
“So, is this gonna be a fighting game or a wrestling game?” Asks Deadpool.
“Probably both.” Says Matt Hazard.
They walk to the center of the Arena and look up seeing a virus in the guise of professional wrestler.
“I’m going to chew you up and spit.” Says the Wrestler Virus.
“That sounds nasty. I mean, do you virus know about proper hygiene?” Asks Deadpool.
The virus charges at the two!
After a few minutes of fighting Matt Hazard strikes the Wrestler virus in the face! Deadpool bodyslams the virus into the ground.
“You guys are good! I’ll give ya that!” Says the Wrestler Virus.
Before the Virus can say anything a beam of light hits the virus destroying it!
“Where’d that come from?!?” Asks Deadpool.
The light reveals a hologram of Deianira.
“I’ve had it with the two of you! Don’t you see? That video games are the reason that the world is in chaos?” Asks Deianira.
“Look lady! You’re not saving the world! You just want to control it and make everyone miserable!” Says Matt Hazard.
“None of that matters. If you really want to end this, then come to my office!” Says Deianira.
“Gladly!” Says Deadpool.
A portal opens in front of Deadpool and Matt Hazard and they enter.
In her office, one of her employees to Deianira herself.
“Ma’am, are you sure what you’re doing is a good idea? Bringing those two here?” Asks the Employee.
“Yes. I have every virus that I need to destroy them!” Says Deianira.
“Ok but I’ve been thinking, you say video games cause violence, and yet you’re using violence to destroy them. Isn’t that contradictor?” Asks the employee.
Deianira glares at the employee and raises her machine gun at her.
“You’ve got ten seconds to get out of here before I get crazy!” Says Deianira.
The employee runs for her life.
Outside of the office, Deadpool and Matt Hazard make it into the building.
“And here it is! Once we stop that lady all the video games will be safe!” Says Deadpool.
“Yeah but I don’t think it’s gonna be that easy. Every final level is an endurance test.” Says Matt Hazard.
Suddenly, a great deal of viruses appear all at once! All well equipped with guns, rockets, and swords!
“Wow! It’s like they knew we were coming or something! Let’s not disappoint them!” Says Deadpool.
And so Deadpool and Matt Hazard battle all of the viruses.
One by one all the viruses are defeated.
The two reach a door and Matt Hazard kicks it in revealing Deianira herself.
“Well, you finally found me. Pleased with yourselves?” Asks Deianira.
“We just got rid of all your viruses! You’re not gonna ruin anymore video games on our watch!” Says Matt Hazard.
“I’ll just create more! People will understand what I’m doing!” Says Deianira.
“No, they think you’re just insane.” Says Deadpool.
“No! I’m not the crazy one! It’s those video games’ fault! I try to create this perfect world but people like you keep ruining everything! I’ve had enough! I’m going to get rid of the both of you!” Says Deianira.
Deianira grabs her machine gun and firing upon Deadpool and Matt Hazard!
The two take cover! Deadpool teleports behinds Deianira and slices the machine gun with his sword!
“Anymore tricks up your sleeve?” Asks Deadpool.
“As a matter of fact I do!” Says Deianira.
She grabs a wire and plugs it into her chest transforming her into a virus!
“Finally! Not only can I destroy video games but I can also destroy television and the internet as well!” Say Deianira.
“Ok now she’s completely lost it!” Says Deadpool.
“Agreed. Let’s end this!” Says Matt Hazard.
After a few minutes of fighting Deianira’s body begins to glitch out.
“I can’t die here! I’m supposed to make this world perfect!” Says Deianira.
“Lady, there’s no such thing as perfect. You’d should’ve realized that by now.” Says Deadpool.
And with that Deadpool and Matt Hazard raise their weapons and shoot the Deianira Virus in the head disintegrating the binary code into nothing.
The next day, Deadpool and Matt Hazard look on the internet ensuring all of the video games are safe.
“Well, it looks like there’s no more of Deianira’s viruses.” Says Deadpool.
“Yeah, that’s a relief.” Says Matt Hazard.
“So, what cha gonna do now? Are you going to be a guest character in anything?” Asks Deadpool.
“Not really, I’m sticking to my own franchise for now.” Says Matt Hazard.
“Anyway, looks like my job here is done. Good luck with your franchise and career Hazard.” Says Deadpool.
“Thanks.” Says Matt Hazard.
And with that, Deadpool goes to his world knowing all of the video games in the world are safe.
