Here's another design I've been fiddling with. I actually started sketch this out before the Trust Monster Design and set it aside to brew up for a bit.

This evolved a lot in the time it spent chilling in my studio. I started with a thought that I wanted a Zombie theme- naturally that stuck, I also wanted to make decent use of the negative space on the fabric so I had them all wrapped up in shadow.

Originally the samurai wasn't in the idea- just an average dude fuckin shit up with a baseball. Typically zombie nonesense. Then I switched it up with a chainsaw to add some gnarly flare. Then I erased all that mess and tried to throw in a samurai sword. Didn't like it. Went back to the wicked chainsaw but kept the samurai feel. The samurai was at first more of a softer anime style but then I thought- Fuck it, I love details so I geared him up with some armor. So much time searching for references on that. My aim was a more authentic, traditional armor and I wanted the flag. I research the hell out of the flag- I'd hate to throw up some insulting shit unintentionally and I learned some righteous info that I plan on incorporating into future designs.

The title, in my opinion, speaks for itself. It's a clash of icons from different cultures.
