( Finally, my Birthstone Mermaid! )

Ruby had told me that Peridot had been depressed since I last parted ways with these lovely mermaids. Seems like I stole her heart. She was currently away from the castle at a modeling contest, leaving me the perfect opportunity to apologize. I headed down to a nearby flower shop, purchasing Peridot a bouquet of ocean flowers, which Ruby says is her favorite. I then stopped next door to a jewelry shop, and purchased a locket. Once outside, I carved "My heart is always with you" on the back and slipped in a photo of myself.

I returned to the castle with the gifts in tow, finding Peridot weeping in front of her mirror. Next to her were the prizes for winning: a blue sash and a tiara. However, she had a broken heart, and none of the prizes she won could mend it.

"If only Chris were here," she said through her tears. "I miss him so much."(Chris is my real name)

"Perhaps you should turn around." I said.

Peridot rose from her dresser and turned to face me. She gasped as she swam toward me. "Is it really you?" she asked.

I revealed the flowers. "Heard you loved these." I also gave her the locket I bought.

Peridot then hugged me tightly, and I found myself at the mercy of her lips. We spent several minutes just kissing, while happy tears formed in Peridot's eyes. I could feel her heartbeat during our loving reunion. She's the best kisser under the sea. Not even Amethyst or Ariel could beat the kisses from your own Birthstone Mermaid!

"I'm so happy to see you again," she said after we stopped kissing.

"I couldn't tell," I joked.

"Something's different about you," Peridot said as she swam around me. "Ooh, where did you get that sexy tail?"

"I drew King Triton's daughters, and he gave me this charm that lets me turn into a merman at will. Would you mind posing while I draw you again?"

Peridot rested upon a rock in her bedroom, placing one of the flowers I gave her in her hair. The rock also had a little something she wrote on it, symbolizing our love. "I'd be honored to."

I drew her with my heart rate accelerated and her continuous flirting. I didn't mind. When I showed this to her, she gave me a scale. She thanked me for her gifts and gave me more kisses . I must visit this one more often!

The roses on the upper corners are also stickers, because I can't draw roses very well.

Peridot is dedicated to because she informed me that her sister has had it pretty rough, and this was made in her honor!

She is also dedicated to , because she is such a sweetheart!

I did a little research and discovered on Wikipedia that DeviantART was founded on August 7, 2000.
