i find this a bit melancholy, i dunno, maybe that makes me lame, but the first picture of the sky, of infinite promise and sensitivity and possibility, and the second, of a sacrificied balloon, surrounded by the uncaring gang of trees, who probably hung it for daring to dream, daring to escape the ground and slip through the twigs and reach the sky, is just strangely affecting.
my head seems to associate wooden backgrounds with hunting lodges, and so i wonder whether the death of this balloon is a sort of triumph, something to be gloated over with a glass of apple cider and mittens and guffaws from guests. this is what happens when your head makes up memories of places you've never seen!

I especially like the sky picture. It reminds me of when I was younger and I used to swing on a swing in a tree in my grandparents' yard. It's very nice, anyway.
