I really wanted to try something new again not knowing what I'm signing to. This one solidified my conviction that painting straight lines on PC is just awful. If I ever were to make another interior I will stick with the art-nouveau style, which will narrow straight lines to the necessary minimum (and will fitt ponies more).This was definitely an interesting learning experience, but I'm still not completely sure how the composition in the interior works. If any of you have any tips on how to improve at the interrior painting, feel free to share.

I think Lazy Nezumi Pro has a perspective tool that help you make straight lines in perspective. Do you have a Graphic tablet or something more similar to the no display accessories? I've found some good old plastic drafting equipment and some French Curves work wonders on my 27QHD Touch.

This is really, really beautiful. I do feel the style, layout and overall feel of the imagery stand out. It seems to accentuate around Celestia nicely and the added bonus of her regalness yet, she doesn't come off as overly encompassing. I have to say despite your criticism (as artists or even writers we are sometimes our own worst critics) that this piece is better then expected. Simply put, it's quite stunning and gorgeous.

The curtains seem to form a circular shape around her. The chandelier seems slightly distorted by perspective, and with the bird, seem to form another big circle in the picture. I feel like this emphasizes her presence.
The cloth on her back,Β her wings, and her hair are angled away from the lit window, emphasizing the way she is facing the light. I feel like this emphasizes her good nature and her sense of purpose, though for what I don't know.
She looks powerful, but she doesn't look like she would abuse that power.

I do not have any tips but I think the interior works very well. In such a lavish room a little bit of wonky lines is fine. After all, the time period of the human world this would have been in perfect lines would have been very hard to achieve and a slight crookedness would add to the character and individualness of the room.

It is quiet an intresting title to be honest. The golden cage can easly refer to Philaminas cage in the bottom left courner. HOWEVER, I do belive that it refers to Celestias castle. While she carries the title of princess(read queen), she is the lowest of inhabitans in Equestria. Her entire life is about serving others, her entire world is about tending to others. So while having this lovely gold, jewlery and so on it is in the end just one massive cage there she can move around, but only so much.
