Description
Bellatrix and Voldemort, Harry Potter. Digital painting done mostly in Artrage on an iPad 2, with an Adroit pen-tip stylus and a Sensu brush stylus. Some final composition in Photoshop. This is my first digital painting from scratch - I've always been a sketch artist til now, although I have previously done collage work. It was submitted to hprarefest on LiveJournal and accompanied my Bellamort story, The Kings And Queens Of May . I used this gorgeous photo reference by carroth as a basis for the pose.Featured on Quibbler Report (quibbler-report.livejournal.co… , 2-6 July 2013.

Hahaha, I know, right? Although I don't know if I trust either the movies or JKR not to screw it up - they seem to like their antagonists one-dimensional. Maybe it's better in the hands of fic writers and artists.
