The hellion (also known as the hallion, snow devil, or ironclad) is a species of nocturnal demons native to upper north America with incredible speed and terrifying intelligence. The hellion remains the fastest demon ever to walk the earth, outrunning the common ostrich with an estimated stride length of 10-12 feet.

Hellions are broad-chested, robust with proportionately long limbs. Males are denser than females, with a larger, squarer skull. Females are much leaner by comparison, with a longer, narrower head, lacking the heavy shoulder musculature commonly found on males.

The hellion head is a striking one. Sharply chiseled and fortified with a darkly pigmented lip covering the blade-like cheek teeth. The eyes are small, pushed deep into their sockets. Hellions are known to lose their vision with age. A parietal ‘third eye’ is present on the dorsal indentation of the head. The third eye does not produce an image like a mammal eye, but is highly sensitive to changes in light and dark. Large, high set ears positioned out laterally aid in acute hearing as well as temperature management. A hellion’s skull is well adapted to withstand vertical stresses.
