It's like a return to...goats! Maybe it's contagious. I had to make a random immortal animal and an Irish goat popped immediately to mind.

I love your mountains. I wanna live there.

I hope only the addiction to art, be it actual art or writing, photography, etc. is the contagious part. It's like...my mountain and goat muse was touring the world and came back with some cool ideas.

I live there...in my mind. You know you're more than welcome to join.

Oh, you always make that contagious. Goats must make wonderful muses... I love that you have them in animal forms. Mine tend to be bickery or flaky people-oids not solid enough to be characters.

Huzzah! I shall make a habit of taking tea there.

One may wish.
Mt. goats do, anyway.
Eh, most of myne are people-oids, too. Fussy, nit-picky, highly selective, and moody. I can't imagine them being any other way, except maybe "absent", when they're supposed to be working.

Scones?

Kid-Apocalypse In reply to DeborahLewis [2010-09-29 20:17:08 +0000 UTC]

This one generally finds.
Best sort, really!

Maybe it's an industry standard, then. Absent is an annoyingly prevalent trait in all of them, far too often.

Of the imaginary sort, for now. No bread-y things for me for a while. But I have the best tea ever--Good Earth. [link]

I often wonder if they get tired of waiting to deposit their ideas, while we're engaged with another muse, and wander off.
Well, yes, then, when I reincarnate, I shall come back as a muse. I hope they're not unionized.

Oh. Well, that's too bad. No wheat/flour-y stuff, or...? I love a good cup of decaf Lipton's. And yes, Good Earth is a fine company.

Kid-Apocalypse In reply to DeborahLewis [2010-09-30 20:58:29 +0000 UTC]

That would make a world of sense. Maybe one of us should think of installing a box... Although I suspect that most of the "deposits" would be used gum and notes with written on them. With my muses, there would also be snide cartoons scribbled on the back of water bottle labels.

If I came back as a muse, I would be a very abusive one.

It can be, I won't lie. Bread-y things are my favourite food on the pyramid. However, it's only for a couple of months, and then I'll probably eat a grilled cheese or taiyaki, and just sit in unsolicited bliss. And I will still drink my Sweet & Spicy Good Earth tea.

... or bad jokes and puns...

Abusive? How? I think I'd tend to be as fussy as the ones who hover over my shoulder, sometimes.

to a good sandwich and tea!

Kid-Apocalypse In reply to DeborahLewis [2010-10-02 14:19:04 +0000 UTC]

Almost certainly those.

Oh, just the subtle kind. Like making 'em lose their train of thought whenever they alt-tab out of the document. Or I could be the Drill-Sergeant muse!

Arr!

DeborahLewis In reply to Kid-Apocalypse [2010-10-03 22:09:47 +0000 UTC]

So I do wonder, however, what it takes to qualify as a muse.

Maybe it's a little like when you try out to be a character at a Disney park. You must sing, dance, and have far too much energy.

And must be aware of the Rubber Bat.

Oh no...I realize I've always had an addiction to art to one degree or another...I think it's more like "now admitting it as such."
