Wow, gorgeous shot. I've been to Kyoto, and I can honestly say I don't recall coming here. It seems that I missed out. The color contrast between the grey of the path and the rich green of the bamboo is breathtaking. Was that an intentional edit? Or is that how it really appeared?

It took some editing work in order to make the path and the fence black and white, but otherwise I've only touched up the photo a bit. The real task was waiting until everyone that had been walking by that day was out of my photo!
