He was born two years after Edward and has complained about it ever since. He believes in a different Alveus, one that exercises its military might and annexes its neighbors. A veteran of small campaigns, he believes himself to be a military genius. Never the voice of reason, and always the voice of action, Mattias’ goals are to bring power and wealth to the nation, regardless of who might suffer. Should the balance of power shift, it is believed Mattias would have the full support of the Alveun military. The generals embrace his dreams of conquest.
