The artist recommendations looks good.
BTW, I have a question: Are you going to keep the Storage and Manage deviations? (I have a whole gallery with +800 deviations hidden, that I don't want to show, but I don't want to delete neither).
Or maybe an option for make a whole profile private?? (Like Instagram or Twitter).

Thank you! Well, I was actually wondering about it but after the old site is 100% removed. Since it uses another code, I was wondering about it.
I know having a private account is not 100% accurate, but anyway, I was wondering in case of having to "open" my old gallery again.

Today when accessing DA through my Samsung browser it was defaulted to Eclipse, I could not switch to classic on the phone, on my PC it was also switched to Eclipse, I was able to revert to Classic, then my phone browser also switched back.
I will assume this the next step towards the transition to Eclipse.
I am regrettably sorry that I will not be active here much longer.
All things change, and all things die, the little tree in the Styrofoam cup, and yes even DeviantArt…
The initial mistake was when the site was sold to Wix, the second mistake was to ignore the members and allow Wix to dictate what their vision of the site should be...
14 Years was a good run and I thank all of those that supported my Photography, and many thanks for your art, it has enlightened me, and entertained me, I will never forget DA, however it has forgot us so it is time to move on, like time itself, ever flowing, ever forward... So Must I...

You’re not alone on that with Samsung, Eclipse is horrid on my Samsung tablet and trying to switch it back to the original is a pain in the ass since you have a 0.1% chance of keeping the drop menu to switch before your page refreshes unlike the classic layout.

Until this is fixed, I will no longer be using Eclipse since Chrome had an impact on my custom box
Eclipse think TWICE before using ChromeFull title: Eclipse; think TWICE before using Chrome (personal experience)
G'day my friends, I'm only sharing this journal with you because of a personal problem I've had with Eclipse and a brief warning for those using DeviantArt Eclipse on other browers to be aware.
So this happened probably around Wednesday in the afternoon when I was home alone messing with Eclipse on both my iPhone8 and Samsung tab A (these two play a role in the following) using Firefox as my main browser to access Eclipse. So let's cut this short; I decided to finally switch to Google Chrome, another infamous web browser most people use today.
Sounds alright yeah?
Firstly I play around with Chrome on my iPhone8 for a bit, everything seemed fine and functioned like on FireFox. So I decided to download it for my 2 year old Samsung galaxy Tab A to hopefully use Eclipse more better than on FireFox (it's horrid on my tablet just so you know, whereas my iphone8 works as it should) since I like to expe

You're aware I'm quite skeptical of Eclipse but would like to thank you personally for taking the time to respond to Deviants, in particular when you provide some details about upcoming changes that have been requested by the community. Thank you.

To be honest, the only reason that makes me switching to Eclipse is to make a new feedback. I still can't stand this website. But the good new is that when DA will disappear, I will use my time for other activities XD
It makes me sad because I'm pretty sure that a (large ?) part of the Staff tries to do its best. I really want to say that "OMG this update is SO COOL, I cannot wait ♡" because I'm not against change. But... not that change, with less usability, poor quality, no personality, etc. Deviantart should stay a unique place for all artists, professionals AND hobbiysts, even noobs.
But for the moment I'm staying, because I hope, I really hope that you will make the changes needed to make a decent substitute to our beloved website. I'm not optimistic enough to think that the change will be good, but maybe it won't be that catastrophic. So, yes, I'm still sad, but I want to encourage the team to make an efficient work. Maybe they will surprise us with awesome features

I am looking forward to the update journal, mentioned in one of the replies here, that will list some of the bigger upgrades being planned. I'm especially interested in hearing what's in store for literature. Eclipse it is not yet really functional for me, due to lack of text formatting options, and I am hopeful this is something we will see addressed.

Thank you very much indeed for this direct reply. I appreciate it greatly. I will have a very long reply for you, as this venue seems to allow for more options than the feedback form.
For me, the biggest issue with Eclipse right now is that there aren't enough formatting options for text. For example, I can't figure out how to indent the start of a paragraph (other than using the space bar multiple times); the tab key takes me outside the box for entering text. In addition, not all of my formatting from my word processor (I use MS Word) pastes successfully into Eclipse. I especially notice changes to line breaks, and lack of indentation at the start of paragraphs. As an example, you can see the difference in these thumbnails: the one marked Test was submitted using Eclipse, and the other one using classic DA.
Test 3.5*Chapter 44(Evening, Sunday 14 April)I’ve spent a few hours this afternoon checking on the site up on the promontory. I keep looking back out to sea, hoping to spot the whales again, but they’re out of sight. When I see Tamaroa heading north through the village, I start scooting down the side of the steep hill to meet him.It occurs to me belatedly that I should have taken time to freshen up a bit after sleeping on hay last night and a stuffy car ride this morning. Tamaroa always looks completely put together, and I can’t help feeling self-conscious when he’s fresh from the shower and I’m sweaty and dusty in my grungy cargo pants. The start of a grin tells me that he’s noticed the difference as well and I suppress a grimace.“Everything still secure?” he asks, nodding to the promontory.I nod. “Just as we left it.”“Ready to call Ariki Mahuika?” he asks....

More of the line breaks show up in the actual deviation than in the thumbnail, but not all of them, as far as I can tell. All indentations are lost. There may be other issues as well, but I will admit that I have not experimented extensively because it is discouraging to lose the formatting.
I have never had this problem while entering a literature deviation in classic DA, and stash writer seems to have a lot of functionality, in case the features for that tool might translate into the new platform, or knowing what features it has might be useful for developing a new tool.
The second thing, and it is definitely secondary to the functionality of the actual text is that the header - while smaller than it originally was - is still very large. I think it is too large. I have to scroll down to see the text of the poem, story, etc., past a huge title and a huge header image. For a literature deviation, I think it would be better to see the text right away. Maybe this could be something people customize? If they want to use a cover image, that header could expand, but otherwise just look like a normal title (larger font, but the main text is visible without scrolling). I've experimented with using a cover image and no image (the test above has no image), and it doesn't change anything about the header's appearance in Eclipse (I don't think it affects the thumbnail, either, but I could be wrong about that).
Another example of the header being problematic is that it is difficult to see when I have opened a gallery folder. I went just now to my gallery while using Eclipse, and I thought the folders were broken, because nothing on the page changed when I clicked on my folders. I only saw my (giant) header image and the list of folders. It was necessary to scroll down before I could see folder contents. (I use a fairly large laptop with an optical drive, so I don't think this is a screen size issue.)
Thank you very much for reading all of this, for continuing to seek so much feedback, and for the ways literature has already been improved. I've noticed several changes that are definitely important and worthwhile for writers, and that encourages me to believe that we will see improvements in formatting options for text (this would be helpful for journal entries as well as literature deviations).

I could send the team once again all my previous feedback but with every new change log I'm feeling a bit more discourage to repeat myself again. I've already posted a comment on one of these logs that we need to see if you even read our feedback. That should not be so difficult to write a journal listing the most requested changes that we want and add to each a short comment like "We know about this." or "We're working on it right now." or ANY acknowledgment. The past few change logs including this one as well consisted of some minor changes and bug fixes. No wonder users get annoyed with this more and more, myself included and many are considering leaving this website once the Elipse rolls out for everyone.

Things that are planned in EclipseFirst of all I'm not a staff member, I am compiling every comment that said that this or that is planned. No hate please ! That's more for me a list to share on change logs to people and things to not forget about when I share feedback than anything else but eh :/ I may have missed a few things ! I'll delete that later lol it's just a list of things. I may have missed a few... In case you don't have eclipse yet, don't use it that much or want to know more that can be helpful

I would add downsizing of many things and a better text editor for posting journals and stories.
Thanks for sharing this journal entry with me. It must take you a lot of time to sift through many pages of comments under all of those change logs.
They should write a lot. The least that they can do is listing all of the features that will be included and telling us that they're working on them.

The bloody log-in landing page! Won't you just make it simple OR if you guys really shoving it to us, why there's no option on entering the website by entering the login details, tap ENTER and voila?
The log-in button doesn't work on all browsers. Pfft~~~ You're making our lives hard. As if all countries have fast internet.

Also, please stop making the default Eclipse when people first come to your website. It's obviously still a Beta version, so until it's finished and officially rolled out, it should not be the default. Thanks.
