Description TwoMorrows publishing did a tribute issue to Joe Kubert and they asked if I would put something together.  I believe the turnout (not surprisingly) was so immense that I only made it into the digital copy.  But this really is one of those times when it was awesome to just be considered.  The time I spent and the people I met in the cold state of New Jersey changed my life.  And I can guarantee you that I wouldn't have gone there if it weren't for Joe!

Too sick.  So sick I have to add a useless comment.  I don't do this often, either.

I truly appreciate your art work and your passion. It's refreshing to see someone so talented showing respect to those who've helped guide this generations best artists!

Thank you!  It would be so dishonest to pretend that I didn't get there with someone else's help.  Even if I never met the person and was just inspired by there work.  The whole "It takes a village to raise a child" expression applies to artists (and probably every other trade).  I can't actually speak for everyone, but I think we are all the sum of other peoples parts.  Take that how you will haha

enjoy your time while your there.  I remember it being tough and frustrating at times but I stayed fairly positive, learned as much as I could and eventually, I turned out all right

I passed by that school each day on my way to work for 10 years... I regret never going there when I had the chance. Joe Kubert was definately one of the "greats". <3

P.S... Jersey is only cold in the winter! (ok, sometimes in Spring and Fall too... but DEFINATELY not in the summer! )

He really was one of the greats, and he'll most definitely be missed.

And in all fairness you're right.  the summer is not cold, but it is impossibly hot and sticky!  I used to have crazy fever dreams whenever I would take a nap in the summer haha
