I have no idea what Metro is.
This looks nice. Neat, clean, eye pleasing.
But... It looks like a replica of Windows 8's "home screen" (aka, the app screen). And that kinda bugs me. It makes this less original and more like a cheap copy of some kind.

My opinion still stands. Because all he did was mess about with pics from Win 8 and organized it to look pretty. So therefore uncreative. I highly doubt he (she?) worked with Microsoft to make it. Honestly, I think the app screen is kind of copycatting Apple.
Also, it's in the category "web interfaces". A user interface isn't necessarily for the internet. I can use my computer just fine without the internet. He basically decided to copy Windows 8 to make a site layout of some kind. Or make a "lets make a new user interface for people to install on their PCs and fuck them up! Yeaaaaah~!" Because downloading a whole new interface will prolly do just that.

Who cares if they copied the metro style, thats how artists learn, by taking ids from other styles and incorporating it into their own.

There's a difference between learning, and flat out copying. It's like someone copying a cartoon style. You don't really learn from it. You just get into the habit. You can learn without copying something. Copying a style makes you look like a wannabe. Seeing people copy popular artists/shows bugs me just as much. It's actually kinda childish. It's nearly as bad as tracing or bases.

Bro. I have Win 8. He literally copied some shit. The "contact" button, for instance. It's cropped, the envelope is a touch smaller, and changed "mail" to "contact". But it's the exact same color. It's like if I drew in the powerpuff girl style, but made their eyes smaller.
I stated an opinion (one a few people have stated, actually) and got jumped on for it. No one else did, but I've been hassled twice. They're gonna copy, it's their own fault.
Also, in a way, you did say I shouldn't defend my opinion.

If he's gonna post something on here, then he's opening himself to it. No one is going to ask him if he wants their opinion in the real world. He's a big boy. He can defend himself. I can spell perfectly fine, gunna or 'gonna' is not a real word, its slang so people can spell it however they want

Actually, I have Chrome. Chrome has a spell check. It says it's spelled "gonna". It says "gunna" is a misspelling. Gonna is on dictionary.com as a verb and a contraction. [link]

I'm sorry but you're kinda dumb... You can clearly see that this is not just a copy/paste of Windows 8 as you claims. It's just the same style as Microsofts "Metro" design. Apparently you've never used Windows 8. I do. Every. Day. I could "design" something like this by screen shoting my app screen and messing with it on photoshop. Just change the buttons a little and BAM. Some of the buttons are NEARLY exactly the same. The "contact" button, for instance. It's the same color as the mail button. The envelope on it is the same. The only difference being he cropped the button, made the envelope smaller, and put "contacts" instead of "mail".
They're copy catting it, and their title even admits it.
I've never used a Mac. And I have no intention of doing so.
