Description WARNING: Another controversial stamp ahead! As I said on the other stamp, I'm not a Republican or a Trump supporter. But I'm not a liberal either, and I am willing to call out smug, pretentious attitudes among liberals, especially white liberals who live in their little hipster bubbles. However, this also doesn't mean that I'll tolerate homophobia. There's a difference between being a gay conservative and a homophobe. Milo Yiannopoulos isn't a gay conservative, he's a gay reactionary homophobe, and people like him can fuck off. Comments will stay off for very obvious reasons.

Just like with people of color, people love to assume that if you're LGBT, you have to be liberal. This attitude is perhaps even more pervasive than the idea that people of color have to be liberal, since in America, conservatism tends to be associated with homophobia. (It's definitely easier in Europe - at least Western Europe - to be LGBT and conservative because over there conservatism and religion don't always go hand in hand.) Yes, there are LGBT people who aren't liberal. We exist, and we should be allowed to have our voices heard. I'm technically a centrist, which is a bit easier than being a conservative since it's a little more to the left. Just because someone is LGBT doesn't mean they have to be hyper-liberal atheists and stand liberal on every single issue. There are LGBT people who are religious, pro-life, pro-gun, and yes, there are even ones with conservative stances on trans issues. All kinds of people make up a community, and the LGBT community is no different. You have people like me who dress normally and keep to themselves as well as people who dance on pride parade floats while wearing speedos. You have people using the traditional LGBT acronym and people who prefer newer, longer acronyms like LGBTQIA. If all LGBT people were the same and had the same political views, things would be boring. Also, just because I am not a liberal, doesn't mean I will tolerate things like conversion therapy - conversion therapy is a disgusting human rights abuse and it should be banned. (Thankfully, my state is among those that have banned it.) It also doesn't mean I'll defend people like that asshole Milo Yiannopoulos (who now identifies as "ex-gay" and supports conversion therapy). Despite being conservative on some issues, I can still speak out against homophobia.

It takes all kinds of people to make up a community.
