In my humble opinion, most of the people here on dA don't really think about what they are writing as a comment. Sure, sometimes a pic is just nice and you want to say "Great. ".
But always? Man, sometimes it just overwhelms me how simple some people are made happy, when they get feedback about their work. For me, a comment is a way to emphasize the subjective feelings of each person and viewer - and even a little bit of critizism could be involved (or also a bit more... ^^), because dA made an own category for critics.
Well, i hope you understand what i mean. :-P
