Now that BSG is FINALLY back, I had to celebrate with a Kara Thrace painting.5 hours/CS3/wacom bamboo.
I used textures from ~wojtar-stock and *B-SquaredStock for the background, so thanks!

Wow. Excellent work. I watched the video, too. You make it look easy, but I doubt I could do it if my life depended on it.

Thank you! It's funny because before I start any digital portrait, I spend a day or two thinking that I can't do it, and it will never turn out right. Then I get to work and things don't turn out too shabby.
It just takes a ton of practice - my photoshop attempts from 3 years ago are laughable at best, but we learn.
Don't even talk to me about the end of BSG! I'm trying to mentally prepare for the devastation.

Yeah, me too. I have kinda mixed feelings about it, actually. I'm glad that we've finally gotten some important revelations, and have enjoyed how they came about. On the other hand, a lot of things feel kind of rushed, and I would have liked them to be able to spend a bit more time on the details and draw things out for one more season.

Thanks! NO ONE I know is into it, and I'm like "WTF!??" We were at a club last Friday and I mentioned that I was missing BSG, and all conversation stopped, and my friends looked at me like I had said that I was attracted to 13 year-olds or something! I'm surprised the DJ didn't stop spinning! What's wrong with people?!

I came into it right before the beginning of Season 4 and was able to watch the first 3 seasons before season 4 started. I was HOOKED. It was better than I expected and Starbuck was just too interesting a character not to keep up with her. Great show. Now it's Must See T.V on Friday nights.

Same here - I went to visit my parents last May and I brought my dad my Firefly DVDs and he was like "have you seen BSG?" and I was like "???" soooo he gave me all the seasons through the first half of 4 - I went through them in 5 days, and now I can't stand waiting for every Friday.
I wasn't a fan of the second episode, but the third totally redeemed it.
