Description Well, this took me more hours than I care to admit. But I finally got her color right, and I took a chance at lightsabers, so that's two firsts.

Edit: Awww, hell. I didn't get her eyes right. >_< I'll go in and fix them tomorrow.

Any details on how you got the sabers that good? Is that pure render or is there some postwork?

Oh and BTW that is AWESOME!

The sabers were actually very easy - I'm looking for a way to make the center line softer, but the online instructions that I found were apparently made for an older version of PS, and I wasn't able to duplicate them exactly.

1. Make sure you saved your original first. (I forgot. I'm really glad I didn't ruin it. O_O )
2. On a new layer, use the line tool with a weight set to between 18-24 to create the blade of the saber. Don't make it too fat - the line is only the center. Be careful to account for foreshortening and perspective when creating the blades.
3. Round the ends of the line. (How you do this is your choice - I honestly went in with a 2px brush and built up a little 'hump' by hand. You can also just make a small round circle using the Shapes tool.)
4. Layers > Layer Styles > Outer Glow. (There may be a faster way to get to this menu. Shortcuts aren't something I'm good at. >_>) Choose the color you want the saber to be, and adjust the Spread and Size until you get as much 'fuzz' as you want.
5. Repeat the above with Inner Glow, if you wish.

That's it, for the sabers. If you want to add any light coming off the sabers, create a layer between your background and your saber. Use a brush set to 100% in the color of the saber light, and slap it onto any surface you want light reflected off of. Pull the opacity down to about 50%, set a Gaussian Blur on it (have a preview set up so you can adjust it) and from there, lower the layer opacity as needed. Repeat, if you missed a surface, or if another surface needs more color.

As for the rest of it: I postworked her skin color, as I do with all my Twi'leks. (Her base skin color is a medium brown.) That's about all the postwork I needed (not counting the sabers) for this piece. There's actually a fair bit less extra stuff on this one than most of my others.
