This piece is, to me, unique. How the artist produced a piece that is both representational and abstract is beyond me, but he or she is capable of putting these two seemingly opposing concepts together - with examples including the use of lines and patches of brown on the face to create gradients, and feathers for hair.
The artist's use of abstract blue and brown strokes, while abstract when considered individually, form a realistic portrait together. Around her face, the brown and blue effects create a likeness of hair that is remarkable considering the variety of textures used.
The colors of this piece must also be considered. To me, the use of brown and light blue, while certainly not a popular palette, create an interesting blend of earthy and energetic. The energetic brown is matched by the look of the subject, and the energetic blue is represented by the complexity and excitement of brush strokes.

Overall this is an amazing piece that accomplishes things I did not know to be possible. Its style is flawless, and the effect produced is mesmerizing. I am more of a representational artist myself, but the form created in this piece satisfies me fully. Truly a beautiful work.

First let me say I find your work very beautiful, and the colours you have used work very well together but I think you kind of lose her face a little in this with the amount of colour you have used in that area, my eye is drawn to the left and away from her face by the lighter colours. Otherwise I can't help but look and look and look at this work, there is so muc to see, the more I look the more I see and hte more I enjoy! I am greatly looking forward to browsing through your gallery

So, I've looked at everything in your gallery and I am absolutely blown away. I've never seen such chaotic images that come together to create something so beautiful! I love how you use blue in many of your pieces to give a pop of color. This piece is my personal favorite. The face is both realistic and gorgeous, and I adore the garland-type thing for her hair. Your work has 100% inspired me to be more creative with my composition, linework, and colors. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it!
