Description
All was quiet in Andalsst that night. In stark contrast to the activity of the day, the night was filled with a solemn quiet which rested peacefully upon the sleeping citizens. This wasn't to say there wasn't any activity, however, as the city's night life began to stir. Among the Pokemon who were up at this hour, a small Aipom was making his way through the markets. He looked inquisitively at the empty stalls, most of which were void of any products, with a few others completely locked up. The young 'mon was unfamiliar with such a sight, largely because it was very well past his bedtime, but as a child he was very curious to see what the city looked like after everyone was asleep.
Then there was a mysterious voice. It came from a nearby alleyway. “Hey kid,” said the voice, “come here.”
The Aipom peered into the dark alleyway, contemplating whether or not he should follow the voice. Then it spoke once more, “Come, come. Don't be afraid.” The Aipom mustered up his courage, and with just a few steps, he disappeared into the alley.
There he found a group of about four or five other pokemon hiding in the shadows. The leader, an Aromatisse of decent size, stepped into the moonlight. A sweet, tantalizing scent filled the air, and it was far more than the little Aipom could handle. He stared at the Aromatisse in awe, wondering where such a sweet scent could possibly be coming from.
“Doesn't it smell nice?” said the Aromatisse. It was now clear that the voice speaking to the Aipom earlier was his. “Why don't you join us? There is a lot to do tonight and we could use an extra hand.”
Just as the Aipom was about to speak, a different voice spoke from deeper within the alley. “Attempting to recruit a child? That's just sick.”
Clearly agitated, the Aromatisse spun around to find a lone Gligar landing in the alley. “Who are you to criticize my methods? We're not going to hurt him or anything.”
“Frankly I don't believe you,” retorted the Gligar, “Let the kid go, and get out of here before there's trouble.”
“Aw, what's the matter? Too afraid to come and get the kid yourself?” said one of the others, taunting the Gligar, “You talk like hot stuff but I bet you can't fight!”
The scent of the air changed slightly, and others joined the 'mon, jeering at the Gligar who stood motionlessly in the alley. Then just as quickly as they started their taunting, they stopped. The Gligar's eyes were now glowing a bright green, and he spoke in a much deeper, more sinister voice, “You asked for it.”
It suddenly seemed to grow darker as the Gligar reared up on his tail. Shadows from the alley came in and enveloped the creature as he spread his wings; his visage growing larger at an astonishing rate. His eyes grew like green flame, staring down upon the group of pokemon as he threatened to engulf the entire alleyway. A great fear fell upon the gang of 'mons upon witnessing this transformation, and they all ran for their lives.
The Aipom was left behind, staring into the fiery green eyes of the monster. They were hypnotic in a way, as the child found that he could not turn away from them. Once the gang was gone, however, the shadows receded to their original state and the monster shrank down to nothing but a floating smiling face. It was practically transparent, and the Aipom looked down to find that it was attached to a rock with a strange, fancy looking bow clipped to it.
“You like it?” said the Spiritomb, “Designed it myself, you know.”
“Back off, Manus, I think you've scared the poor child enough already.” said the Gligar as he stepped up from behind the ghost.
“But he's not scared of me, see?” replied the Spiritomb as he moved out of the way. The Aipom recoiled at the sight of the Gligar, however. Manus chuckled. “I think he's more afraid of you than me.”
“Hey, it's alright,” said the Gligar as he knelt down in front of the Aipom. He wasn't that much larger than the child, but it brought him to a more even level. “My name is Lennon, and ghostly partner here is Manus. What's your name?”
The Aipom stammered a little before uttering, “C-Cody. My name is Cody.”
“What are you doing out here by yourself, Cody?” asked Lennon, “It's dangerous at night.”
“I-I just want to see what it's like. Mom never lets me out of the house at night.”
“And she's right to do so, little one,” piped Manus, “Those stories of monsters in the night? They're true!”
“And now you can say you've seen one with your own eyes,” added Lennon, “Come on, lets take you home before you get into any more trouble.”

Team Memento, Errand Log
Client:
Kara
Task:
Night Watch
Report:
In the morning we came across a rather unusual job straight from one of the Hunter's Guild leaders. Apparently, she needed some intimidating looking pokemon to assist her in keeping the peace in the late hours of the night. Since we didn't have much to do the next day, we accepted the job.
That night we eventually decided to patrol away from the rest of the group, since it's easier to see things from the sky than it is from the ground. From my vantage point in the sky, I spotted an Aipom wandering around the market. He looked like he was very young, and when he entered an alley I feared for his safety. Turns out he was lured there by a gang of Pokemon, the leader being an Aromatisse, who I suspect controlled his followers via the scents his species are known to emanate.
Manus and I were able to scare away the gang with his unique usage of Mean Look, frightening the gang while simultaneously preventing the Aipom from being scared off. We escorted the child home, and the rest of the night proved to be rather uneventful after that. Kara has provided a star coin for our services. While I may not completely approve of the Hunter's methods, I must admit that it was a pleasure to work with them.
