Description
This is the thrid and last picture of the lightning pics. This one was kind of basic in the sense that it is just one main bolt, but it was luck and patience that it was directly down the middle of the picture.shot on film. 20-30 second exposure.

no way!!!! 3 faves? this is an awesome pic. i saw lightning strike this tree once and a barley saw it, never mind trying to take a pic of it. this should have more faves. so, fave.

A simply awe inspiring photo, i think it is helped as much by the subject as by the skill of the photographer. What I like about these types of photographs is the way that something that is so powerful over such a short period of time retains its visual power at least.
It's also kind of wierd that the camera is the only way we can truly appreciate the magnificent spectacle of a lightning strike; the effect on the naked eye is simply to quick to take in...

Awesome shot, it must have taken alot of patience. I bet it is frustrating to get your camera set up and get ready, and a streak of lightning goes off out of your view.
