"Inspector Casey's On The Case!"

"Once Tera finally let Casey down back to solid ground, she didn't waste a second trying to acquire Tania's scent. Casey was given an extremely powerful nose during her transformation. Whether Seleia did that purposefully or accidentally is unknown. However, if you're being hunted or searched for, you can guarantee that Casey would find you with little issue. She first took a few steps away from Tera to better locate Tania's specific scent. Each Hybrid had a similar yet unique scent that Casey could easily affix herself to. Everyone watched as she sniffed the air for a moment before her eyes went wide. She didn't say anything or look at anyone. She just took off in a full sprint down the road. After about five minutes of running and dodging cars and people, Casey arrived at the other side of the City. That was where Tania's scent had lead her to. It was a long side street with almost no one around. Perfect for a quiet walk and it would have been on Tania's way home if she was looking for such a place to clear her head. As much as the location matched, the M.O. didn't. It wasn't like Tania to go around by her lonesome like that. Casey spotted a man walking alone up the street towards her and decided to speak with him. If he lived nearby or on this street, he was bound of heard or seen something. To her surprise, he did! He told her that he heard what could only be described as a tractor-trailer driving down the street at the early hours of the morning. Something like that was rarely heard in the city at all anymore, let alone in this part of the city. The time stamp matched Tania's disappearance and the need for a large transport made sense. Casey continued down the street, putting the clues together, it was starting to make sense but she needed more to go off of. Casey squinted her eyes while walking. Seeing something at the end of the street that looked unusual. She ran over to see that the pavement was completely cracked in one particular area. That totally matched a hard fall from a large object like a Hybrid! There was no patterns, which left at the footfalls of a larger Hybrid or one of the Goddesses. It as the only damage, Casey felt like she was getting close to something. An unusual scent started to fill her nose. It smelled like gunpowder and it was very nearby. She followed the smell to the corner wall by the intersection. There was residue from a fired weapon there, the position made it look like someone took a shot at Tania. However, that made no sense. She was literally bulletproof and a single round wouldn't have even made her flinch. There was more to it then that, Casey could feel it. She started looked around the ground for a shell casing or something to give away a shot. In the middle of the street she found her answer. A spent syringe was laying there. The tip was made of tungsten and was extremely fine. If anything her to poke through Tania's thick skin, it would be that. The syringe looked like it was fired as a projectile, which would explain the gunpowder. It was official. Tania was kidnapped and whoever did it, were professionals who did their research. However, they didn't expect a Hybrid Detective to literally sniff them out. The only issue now, was that Casey's jurisdiction and trail ended with the city. If she was to continue this search. She was going to need to recruit some help with knowledge of the areas beyond the containment zone. Luckily for her.....The Goddesses made just such a person for the job......."
