Thanks! Yeah, I decided I'm going to keep that name. I should really update with some more details on it all haha
Yeah, I am going to give them lil' oxygen tanks on their backs, around their waste like a fanny pack hehe
We'll see how that goes. Thanks for the suggestion though. :^]
You should try it out! It's pretty fun so far! 8^D

So I checked out some of the other stuff on your tumblr, but, alas, I do not have a tumblr so I am posting my thoughts here. I hope this is alright!
First off, I love the designs! They are very cute. I like the premise so far, too. It sounds like its going to be a collection of short stories with an over-arcing theme (them meeting a quota or some such) as opposed to a single long story. If that's what you intend with it, I think it will work great! On that note, I like the idea of them having to meet a quota (or some other outside force that is making them go along), because it means that when the going gets rough they can't just stop. You'll have an outside force making them go through with it, instead of having to try and find reasons for the characters to not just give up on a personal mission. My first thought was that maybe they are anthropologists or some such? I don't know. I think of meeting foreign people and I think anthropologist haha.
My only question is that at one point you said "I made βKonnichiwaβ in Katakana, because it looks nice, and because the explorers are foreign to Earth." And I couldn't be sure if you mean that the title is "Hello from Space" because they are from off-Earth, or if they were speaking in Japanese because they are from off-Earth. The first makes sense to me! The second not so much. So, clarification maybe I guess?
I have a couple other thoughts, but it's a little more... technical I guess? Detail oriented? Which doesn't seem quite right at this really early stage. So yeah! Those are my two cents. Sorry I'm not much help in the design department, but that is not really my forte. I do better with story oriented stuff, haha. I hope I was some help. Good luck with the project. I'm looking forward to it!

I think I'm going to have them have to meet a quota. I thought up some other characters, and it only makes sense for it to be that way. :^D
Yeah, I was actually leaning towards the anthropologist idea, only I kind of feel like they should be taking something significant back home with them. Something physical. We'll see what that is. :^P
Oh, the Konnichiwa in katakana thing, is 'cause in Japanese they have three different writing systems.
The two basic ones "Hiragana" and "Katakana" are syllabic alphabets. They can be used interchangeably to spell the same words, but Katakana is used mostly for foreign words.
For instance "Toilet" in Japanese is "Toire" basically taking from English, and so it's spelled in Katakana, because it's not of Japanese origin.
Konnichiwa would usually be spelled in Hiragana, but really, it just looks nicer in Katakana, and since their aliens to Earth, I think it's just stylistically interesting to have it be in Katakana.
If that makes any sense @__@
Feel free to tell me about the other thoughts you had.
I'm open to everything :^]

Oh I like the idea of taking something physical back too!
Haha, I couldn't say anything about stylistic choices one way or another because my eye for art is, uh, spotty at best. But what I thought strange about it is why, being aliens, would they know /any/ earth languages? I mean, I know your title has to be legible, so I don't mean to say you should make that into gibberish or something. Haha. Just that I don't really understand why they would chose any one language over another. That's all I was confused about.
Although, if you feel like getting really involved on that side of the project, you might make their language based off of one of the syllabic Japanese forms of writing since it's purdy~
The only other thing I remember right now is that they seemed awful young in their designs. I don't know if that's a style thing or alien biology or what, but I thought I'd bring it up. Then again I know it's kind of a staple of cartoons and such that all their heroes are, like, twelve or something. Haha. I guess it's not a critique so much as a "Is that what you meant to do?" thing.

Well in this comic, we're assuming that English or Japanese aren't earth languages.
They will be landing on earth at some point in time, and I'm still coming up with ideas for how they will be communicating with the inhabitants of other planets.
Module is 18.
It's all stylistic.
