Prologue

Three Missing People

The names and addresses in these stories are fiction. Any relation to actual human beings or address is a coincidence.

Lieutenant Baker from Missing Persons Division of Prince City Police Department was sitting at his desk in his cramped office during hot sunny 85 degree Fahrenheit weather apparent at 9:00a.m. Being a man of 6 feet tall wearing a well-tailored suit and a nice green tie, was having a no-nonsense attitude while completing his paperwork. Although in missing persons you rarely get any paperwork. People in Prince City do not often go missing.

Prince City was a small city. Only 20 officers worked for the Prince City Police Department, covering a population of 200 people. The Missing Persons Division was formed due to the recent disappearances of 3 women. This alarmed the City’s Mayor, who therefore tasked the Police Department to make up a special division to investigate these disappearances.

In a population of 200 people that is slowly decreasing, people are flocking out of town. People are scared away from the recent reports of missing women in this town. Lieutenant Baker suspects there is a serial killer on the loose. What he doesn’t know, there is more than 1 killer out there and Lieutenant Baker just open the door towards an avalanche of deviant activities.

Lieutenant Baker got up from his desk and walked over to the coat rack on the wall. He put on his brown trench coat and walked out of his office. The exit door was just 100 feet from his office. He exited the Police Headquarters.

Lieutenant Baker drove an old white unmarked detective car. He unlocked the lock on his car and got in. He logged on to his police computer and typed in the missing women name. Heather. Nothing came up on the computer. Seems like there was no one named Heather that lived here in Prince City.

Suddenly the police radio came to life scaring the hell out of Lieutenant Baker.

“Lieutenant 1-Alpha, Dispatch.”

“Go ahead, Dispatch.”

“Respond to a 911 call. Report of a break in at 11 1st street also shots fired. Respond Code 3.”

“Roger!”

Lieutenant Baker pulled out of the Police headquarters and pressed his foot down on the gas pedal. He really loves responding to calls like the old days.
