I had a friend send me the parameters and I just started from scratch.

Have you ever downloaded a flame pack?
They're parameters people have saved and posted for use.
Anyway parameters are the triangles you use in Apo. with
the person giving you the variations they used on each triangle.

I thought flame packs were just gradients -- or am I getting the terms mixed up?
It's been quite a while since I've messed with Apo. Clay has won my heart and I spend most of my time working in my pottery studio.

That has happened with so many people and clubs I've watched. I don't understand.

Your work with clay is excellent and I can understand
why you stick with that.
If I had a studio I would be sculpting with alabaster
all the time. Since I don't I can only do that work
in the summer.
Flame Packs and Gradient packs are 2 different things.
Flame packs allow you to use others work to create your own.
Gradient packs are for different colors.

I know I have downloaded flame packs and I put them in the apo software in some place called flames -- or something like that. I got a whole bunch of them from a lot of different apo ppl and sources on dA.
I had a lot of fun with Apo. Guess I may launch it and see what else I can come up with. I can always throw clay while something renders!

its very healing
clay is the most wonderful medium I've ever worked with -- and I've worked with a LOT of different media.
I love the way that clay involves so many aspects of learning -- chemistry, geology, 3 dimensional use of space, transforming a plastic medium to fossil hardness, refining transformation processing through 2000 degree heat
every step of clay work must be attended to with wizardlike skill in so many different arenas.
