FATE has Major Changes in Azure Inferno.

-Many of the Characters and Servants are Descendants/Reincarnations of their Mythical or Historical Counterparts. (Ex; Shirou Emiya is the reincarnation of Senji Muramasa, Rin Tohsaka is the descendant of Ishtar, Mordred is a reincarnation of the Original Mordred, Astolfo is a reincarnation of the Original Astolfo, & more)
-The Throne of Heroes is where the Main Souls of Servants reside. Even when they're currently incarnated, or summoned directly, the original Soul still resides there.
-Divine Servants like Gilgamesh, Karna, & Heracles are mostly the same, and were sealed away for different reasons.

-Shirou Emiya is still adopted by Kiritsugu Emiya after the Fuyuki fire. Illya Von Einzbern is the daughter of Kiritsugu Emiya and Irisviel Von Einzbern. Illya lives with Shirou, Irisviel, Kiritsugu, and with the two Einzbern maids.

-Artoria/Saber was the twin sister of King Arthur, who received (the real) Excalibur from him when he died. Merlin helped her lead her brother's kingdom, until (the original) Mordred attacked her, & she got sealed away.

-Yggdmillennia created Homunculi (Sieg), and put Siegfried's heart within him. Sieg has the heart of Fafnir and Siegfried inside of him. Yggdmillennia sealed Sieg away, due considering him not usable. Astolfo (reincarnation of the historical Astolfo) finds, frees, and befriends him. The two currently live in France.

-Miyamoto Musashi (the one from Fate) is the descendant of the male Miyamoto, and continues her ancestor's legacy. Sasaki Kojiro was the rival of the original Miyamoto, and his Soul was saved in the Throne of Kings, as Sasaki Kojiro wanted to face his rival's descendant.
