because in the end, we dream under one large sky.
It's all about perspective.
...I've been doing a lot of soul-searching these past few months.
I drew this to give myself hope, after taking my first few steps in learning to love myself. I know it's late, but better late than never.
A large reason I couldn't draw for so long was because I always felt like I had to fulfill people's expectations, and that without their approval, I am nothing. Knowing that I accept myself makes this so much easier.

Aaah - my heart is melting, I adore sky themed art! I love the meaning behind this to. I'm so glad you're learning to love yourself. You should! Anyways, this is absolutely gorgeous. I like how the girl is slightly transparent. Goes with the dreamy, "child of the sky" idea. The composition is nice to, I like how the girl is semi-circling the sun. Wonderful painting.

Seems you learned a lot from self-reflecting...and I agree with you...you know what, I once told that to a friend to..about meeting expectations and just doing what you really like. I think this piece is about equality, that we are all artist and the things we create will always reflect who we are, whatever form or for who ever it is for...

i know how it feels to not be able to draw because of the pressure... it really broke me at one point and i couldn't draw at all.
i'm glad you think that way now! it took me a year to realize that i should draw for myself instead of others.
