Slushie: The Pack Pokémon.
Shortly after Mosanto opened it's boarders and native Mosanto Pokémon began being exported to other regions, SLUSHIE were quickly discovered by less legal circles and were quickly bought and bred for underground dogfighting, because of their natural physical durability, SLUSHIE became a very popular choice for illegal rings. The Kanto variant of SLUSHIE sports a very short coat, as long fur makes SLUSHIE easier to grab onto in the pits, instead, SLUSHIE's natural muscle shapes their body. Kanto's variant of SLUSHIE tend to have a very volatile temper, to the point that owning a SLUSHIE is technically illegal in some parts of the region. SLUSHIE bred in Kanto have adapted to become FIRE types, this is because, in an effort to strengthen their SLUSHIE for the pits, SLUSHTIFF were forcibly farm-bred with the large, native canine Pokémon, ARCANINE, after generations of cross breeding, Kanto native SLUSHIE are now FIRE and ICE types. There are cases of Kanto SLUSHIE regaining the former, playful nature of the breed they once were, but as pit fights are now a way of life for SLUSHIE, it has become almost impossible to draw this nature back out of a SLUSHIE who has tasted battle.

Slushtiff: The Berserker Pokémon.
Kanto SLUSHTIFF are DANGEROUS. Kanto SLUSHTIFF are bred and excell in underground pit fights, often in fights to the death, as such, Kanto SLUSHTIFF are ferocious fighters with adaptations suitable for ONLY fighting, their hair and ears are short, so as to help SLUSHTIFF be less grabbable, their snouts are short, to give their jaw muscles more power, their folds are gone to aid in eyesight and they have a VIOLENT temper. Kanto SLUSHTIFF are capable of unleashing powerful FIRE and ICE type moves, this is due to the breed being farmed from Kanto puppy farmers breeding Female Mosanto SLUSHTIFF exclusively with Male ARCANINE, over the generations, SLUSHIE have adapted to use their fiery powers and now are some of the most dangerous canine Pokémon. SLUSHTIFF have an explosive temper and are not afraid to turn this power on their masters if they are pushed too far, to keep their SLUSHTIFF in line, Kanto pit fighters often keep cattle prods or bull whips on them to punish their SLUSHTIFF if they act too aggressively, Kanto SLUSHTIFF are often found bearing scars and burns all over their body because of this. As a Kanto SLUSHTIFF, there is no longer any remnants of the old, Mosanto SLUSHTIFF left, Kanto SLUSHTIFF know only three things, eat, fight, breed, Kanto SLUSHTIFF know nothing of anything else because it's all their breeders needed them to know. 'Rescued' SLUSHTIFF cannot be reintroduced to the outside world, their size and aggression means they cannot be integrated into family homes and are far too violent for standard trainers to keep, this means the underground world that forcibly made the Kanto SLUSHTIFF is, also, the ONLY world that the Kanto SLUSHTIFF can live IN. Kanto breeders were quick to breed out SLUSHTIFF's iconic mane as it was deemed 'undesirable' by underground trainers.
