She has taken the name Augusta Thomas. However, that's not her birth name. Her father and creator had named her Olimpia, She who fell from Olympus. A clockwork automaton who, after being taken from her murdered creator by a mad alchemist, became something much more. The first artificial person (and all that that implies) made from gears, springs, porcelain, and alchemical workmanship. That was in the first half of the 19th century. However, as evident here, she'd fallen in with some really.... bad people after such a long time. But in her defense they found the alchemist's notes and documents, and they knew how to maintain and repair her..... in exchange for her services. And at that point she was a fully fledged person who, like the rest of us, DIDN'T want to die.
