Description
The large Indian civet (Viverra zibetha) is one of the largest viverrids (think mustelid-like critters, just more closely related to felines) in the world, with a body length of up til 95 cm, a tail of 59 cm, and a weight of 9.2 kg. They live in South and Southeast Asia, but are rarely seen due to being nocturnal. They are carnivores, and eat a variety of small prey.
Although they are hunted and trapped for fur, meat or musk glands and are vulnerable to deforestation, the species is still common in a large part of their range and are considered Least Concern.
(The SeldomSeenSpeciesSunday is a challenge first made by TheCynicalHound , which I'll try to do this year .)
Now this was a rushed drawing, as I was busy with those commissions... So it's really not the greatest piece, but it works. Also, first night scene in a long time
