Another day, another friend, another birthday........another Adventure Time pen pot.I haven't got a thing about pen pots or anything, they're just useful things to have on your desk, I do have a massive thing about Adventure Time though
Made from a wire, tin foil and mesh armature covered in Sculpey. His arms are just wire, the hands/paws?? and feet are made from Milliput as it's a bugger getting Sculpey to stick to bare wire. Mounted on a plywood disk, primered then painted with acrylics.
I have no idea how long this one took, I've just been doing bits here and there and not kept track.

Well all of them are great but Ice king is my favourite, great character and back story and Tom Kenny's voice is perfect. Β Lemongrab is pretty awesome too

I wish buying rights to make a shows collectibles wasn't a thing. So many people like you have cool ideas for stuff. A shame that any old person couldn't mass produce things like this, then just send a royalty check to the characters owners. Laws are dumb..... lol

I might look into seeing if I can actually get a license to sell a limited run of something one day.Β I wouldn't like to do it all the time as I want to make my own stuff, but an occasional thing would be fun.Β It's probably really hard to get a license though.

It would be cool to get a limited run, but companies are really stingy with that sort of thing. I actually tried to get a deal to make desktop figures with Frederator studios for Bravest Warriors with theseΒ fav.me/d64kl24 , fav.me/d66dahd , fav.me/d66403i , fav.me/d5zj3ty , and all they did was give me the run around. From my understanding, companies will buy the rights to things before they even go into becoming a show. So it's crazy hard to get your ideas turned into a product. My suggestions would be, to stick with your own stuff like you said, or approach smaller smaller people like online comic writers etc.
