Description This piece was commissioned for a couple that were getting married. I tried to signify this in several ways. Each spire represent an important element in our lives, it may be family, Friends, Love and/or children, or anything for that fact, and each 'flame' is linked to another to form the ring that bonds all those elements together - the marriage.
The piece is constructed out of three (laminated) hardwood blanks, and joined together by three stretchers, mortised and tenoned in to each spire and then carved in the round.

this could easily have formed the base of a glass coffee-table or a wood-woven chair!
