This was fun but simultaneously made me realize how desperately I need to revisit the fundamentals and do more studies. Working on big pieces always makes me realize how far I still have to go .-.

When I first clicked on the thumbnail, I was doing so because I like WoW's Demon Hunter class and your style of portraying them.
After I clicked on the thumbnail, I admired how you make it perfectly clear WHICH pieces of armor the figure on the right has equipped.
(It's been a long while since I've seen artwork that made me bolt upright and say aloud, "Wait a minute! I actually recognize those boots! I've WORN those boots!" LOL)

A gorgeous piece. I would be really interested in knowing what you found the most difficult though. (Doesn't have to be a long, detailed description if you're busy, just a few points and possibly why.) Artist always strive to improve in general, which is why we never have a dull life, I think.

Thanks! The anatomy, lighting, color balance and background were the worst - probably just because those are things I've kind of neglected studying recently. I literally always struggle with those things though, it was just worse on this piece since it's a bit more complex than my usual work :l

Would you say it's more difficult than usual because there are two of them that, I assume, are related (due to their similar, lean physique)? The balance and size difference between two different characters but also a male and a female?

Okay wow DAMN I see improvement in every single piece! Tbh I thought this was a 3D render at first. Urgh ... I should stop to compare myself with your art and better focus on learning
Also I LOVE the glow effects and how they both combine their magic to a way more powerful spell
Edit: I am just zooming in... the details I can even see the design carved into the metal covering of the book.
