New addition for my Season 6 Episode Art!Season 6, Episode 18: Buckball Season

Episode starting with Applejack?! Gonna be good, of course haha. She apparently grows apples of steel, though. Surviving multiple buckings AND breaking through the wooden target?! I want to see the entire list of types of apples growing at Sweet Apple Acres now.
Then there was also Fluttershy's super hair extension power! I didn't know pink causes tails to become usable like that. But we have seen Applejack carry 3 ponies on hers in the past... not to mention typical Pinkie Pie hair. Buckball was actually a pretty interesting looking sport. A fun inclusion of Earth ponies, Pegasus and Unicorns. Now just gotta see the humans try that. Should be fun to watch right?
There were further smaller moments throughout the episode, bunch of faces, angry Fluttershy, Sportsmanship, fun, etc. I don't watch a lot of sports, and sometimes that's also because some can have quite unsporty behaviour, not having fun, too serious looks, considering their opponent an actual enemy instead of the opposite player... etc. Some friendliness and fun can make it enjoyable for some folks.
Kept the style a bit rough again, but with some focus here and there. Deliberately keeping the amount of character in focus a minimum. Unlike last week's 5 main characters hahaha. I intended to keep this Saturday a lot shorter.

Either AJ grows apples of steel, or throwing food impossibly hard and fast is a thing earth ponies can do (like the pies in "Over a Barrel").

Should be fun to watch right?Actually, "buckball" (or a close variant thereof) does exist IRL: presenting ōllamaliztli and its slightly more modern descendant Ulama . Apparently it is one of the oldest continuously played sports and the oldest known game with a rubber ball.

2) I agree with your thoughts on the episode. I thought it included really cool themes about how people can bring their own, unique styles to different sports/competitions, even if they're doing the same role as someone else. I also like how they show that these types of competitions can be fun. I also don't watch sports, mainly because everyone seems so fierce, both in the community, and in the actual game. Some fans who watch sports get so serious on whether "their" team wins or loses, but in this episode, buckball seems like a much friendlier alternative.
3) I also like what they did with Snails in this episode. In the past, he always seemed kinda obnoxious to me, but in this one he was actually a bit more likable.

You did a lovely job showing off just how sporty Applejack can be. She looks terrific with mane and tail all disheveled, matted with perspiration, plus the dirt and bruises across her body – yet still bright-eyed and happy as she waits a split-second for the action to resume. It's a nice pause pose for a straining game. I can almost hear her heavy breathing as she recovers from a round. Sweet team jersey too. Lovely job on the cheerful pegasi watching in the distance, plus the scenery and the day itself are gorgeous. Terrific stuff.

The episode was pretty average, but it had some great stuff in it, like Snails being useful for once. The lesson was nothing new, but it wasn't terrible either.
I never knew messy manes could look so appealing. Okay, that was a lie, but I was still amazed at how good AJ and RD looked beaten up. Maybe they actually learned their lesson this time.
