GAHHH i finally finished this. I was practicing backgrounds and shading. I used many references for the style. Krushz pose is crappy D: I didn't actually think this would turn into a complete picture though..
I used *Kaylink 's tutorial for coloring/shading, and i referenced *AlectorFencer 's style of backgrounds for the background. I'm pretty satisfied... kinda. XD
I'd probably add more but my shoulder is acting up again and i don't want to provoke it and make it kill me..
It's said that Krushz guards the forest from all who do not hold a pure heart.

First of all, I want to compliment you with this picture. It is without a doubt the pretties you've made so far! Congratulations!
But this wouldn't be a critique if I would only say good things. The position of the front leg is indeed a bit odd. The paw pads look very good though the leg itself looks like it's twisted in a very strange way. The line of the shoulder should be drawn more to the left in stead of to the right. This way you'll get the impression that the leg is indeed pulled up behind the shoulder in stead of next to it.
I've made some guidelines to show you what I mean: [link]
You can also see in my guidelines that I've changed the direction of the fur a little bit. If it rains, the fur lays much flatter than usual. The bottom of the fur can be as scruffy as you like trough the top shouldn't be.
Speaking of rain... Rain never falls straight down. You did a very nice job on drawing the rain though it would look even more realistic if it was just slightly turned to one side.
You did a great job on the background and it gives a lot of depth to the picture. The different colors that you've used in the grass really gives it a very natural look.

I love this piece of art, you are improving so much! The background is amazing, it works really well with the character.
My little critique is to have some streams of water rolling off his body, just to make the character look like he really fits into the scene. And maybe you could add a little more rain in the background? Other than that, I see no problems

I like the super-attentive pose; it looks like he's really doing his job. Plus, the background is pretty detailed; the tree branches and bark look kinda realistic.
