Hey,

I just thought of this painting, and signed on to see if you had a print of it (but you don't sigh).

And I got your 5000th pageview! Congrats!

Hmm, well I think there are two ways. The first is to get a prints account for 20$, and then you'll have full flexibility to make any of your pieces prints, etc...

But as a subscriber, I have the option to make any deviation a print (but not keep as much of the profit) at the time I submit it, but I've never gotten it to work...

I'll tell you what, I'll buy you a print account if you'll make this available in a big size...

Thanks man, but I've read the services FAQ and I think I gotta have a credcard account to receive the payment. This img is 8500 x 6500 pixels, how is that ?

polarix In reply to artemio [2006-03-03 04:56:01 +0000 UTC]

I was under the impression that they cut checks to you...

I'm sure the image is more than large enough for the printing, you could probably get a 4 foot print out of that... Which I would love to have on my wall, sigh...

I thought you only had to have a credit card for buying an account or buying prints... I think they cut a check to you for paying artists. But I've submitted an info request, because that would be really crappy if they just credit your card.

Anyway, I'll let you know.

Textures and colors are wonderful here. But I must say, time and time again what grabs me is your ability to create a wonderfully stunning composition. Again you use the sea in your creation in these piece. But in a complete topsy turvy of your piece SEA SIGHT this one shows us the "ocean life" existing out of the water and on the land. The land is what yeilds the mysteries of what is under the waves...the shipwreck in a shell, the oyster with a pearl, the octopus, the spine/curve of the seahorse in the cliff face, etc. Neptune in "carved" firmly into the cliff face...a subtle nod at the god of the sea and the great thundering earthshaker...perhaps. He is not all seeing but "blinded" one eye blinded by a shield and he is "gagged" for his mouth is hidden...perhaps he is captive or rather he is no longer all powerful for the mysteries that the sea contains are now exposed for all to see. Thus he is robbed of that air of mystery and enigma.

Ah....interesting, this picture is almost right out of a game called "The Longest Journey" published by funcom. They're aren't exactly the same, but the tower on the left, and the path down to it, etc. are eerily alike

I loved that game much, and I like this deviation as well. Great work!

This piece is inexorable and august...a sagacious paragon for us all. I'm surprised no one mentioned what I see to be a dragon's head in the wind torn sails of the ship. It may not have been intended, but that's what I love about a piece like this. And the octopi, lobster...everything is just awesome. A surrealistic, maritime, fantasy-conglomerate of artistic talent, nice job.
