From long time I didn't publish a traditional work, but for this contest and these characters I thought was a perfect technique!
They are Rufino and Lyle (a red fox and a white wolf) in their feral form sta.sh/01hiw3z87qgh

Not only is this painting adorable, it is also a well made piece of traditional art.
The shading and the colours both create a sensation of realism to the piece,
while Rufino & Lyle's fur seem naturally fluffy. I believe that watercolour and
water-soluble pencils were used for this one, and if so, that's great.
I use them together too!

This is beautiful; I love how well you controlled the detail and texture, keeping the piece soft and well balanced overall
What did you use for that large snowflake on the red fox’s head? I was curious- I couldn’t quite tell if it was from salt or if you painted it..! It’s truly a lovely painting^^

Oh the white star?
The original character has a little pin with a star, but for the feral form, I have thought at a white tuft with that shape ^^
I have used a white gouache and I have refined the details with a crayons.
