Finally I have finished this traditional portait for:
OC contest - $170 in prizes! OPEN [Ends Jan.10]
Hello, and welcome!
Back in March, I decided to save up some points, and host my first art contest.
Down to the main point: I like seeing Deimos in other people's execution, and I'd love to see your take on him!
However, first things first: what can you win?

Maybe drawing him in the digital media could be the best solution, but I love
watercolors and traditional art and I like the challenges... ^^

I really love how neat the watercolor looks, I've always found it a really difficult medium personally so seeing someone do it so well is very impressive! The color scales are really natural looking and all the fabrics and the skin look just right. The details are also very delicate and well painted. Great job!

Watercolor is a little complicated, but... The oil paint is more difficult °-°
For me watercolor is a continuos surprise, beacuse the effects are always different, I'm happy if you have appreciated!

I can believe it's surprising! I've only just started oil painting for the first time and can already confirm it feels a lot easier (and way more forgiving) than watercolors, to me. I feel like with watercolors you kind of have to get it right the first time, whereas oil paintings can be modified basically for as many times as you want. But of course, everyone's got their preferences, glad to have some variety!

Yay, you are right, on the canvas we can changes everything, but I have understood that I'm not patient and I wish the result immediatly, and when I tried to change something I have ruined the painting ç_ç
Maybe when I'll was "older" I'll try again this technique

I understand, I guess I'm really different in that regard as I tend to take like, hours and hours with my work and don't mind it at all. But yeah, I definitely recommend you giving it a shot some day, after the initial learning it probably gets easier? I definitely want to try watercolors again... luckily, we both have a lot of time left!

In realtà il segreto di amalgamare il colori ad acquerello non è solo nella scelta di una buona marca di colori, ma soprattutto nel tipo di carta, con questa viene tutto molto facile, prima ne usavo una che mi faceva imprecare ogni tre per due -_-
