I got this idea for a creature.

It is born with a big circle on it`s back. When they are young they tie the circle with the laces they make, with whatever scrap they can find. They do this since the circle is heavy and can fall of, killing them instantly. When they become older they start to dream and fantasies a lot creating whole worlds in their minds. It is around this time that the circle on their backs become a portal to whatever they imagine. If they feel threatened by someone, a creature attacking them or a human acting wrong, they catch them and locks them inside their portal. Trapping the creature or human inside their dreamworld. Then they go to sleep and dream nightmares. if, on the other hand, they feel great gratitude towards a human for instance. They will allow him or her to enter the portal to experience the greatest feeling or sexual desire they can imagine. They also let humans relive moments of their life that they loved.

A old man on the brink of death was allowed to relive his most precious memory. A sunny day on the beach with his deceased wife and kids.

The dreamers can read peoples desires. They can also read thoughts.
