At New Moon, which on this planet occurs just twice a year, the Disciples usher in the Newlings. They are brought before the Law-Giver to hear in infinite detail what they must, or must not do. Some of them smile smugly thinking this will be no problem, and even start wandering away before the Master has finished - not a good idea! Others seem to curl up inside themselves fearing the horror of what could happen to them if they stray in any small detail. Yet others find it difficult to comprehend and as soon as the ordeal of the Hearing is over they go away in isolation, generally into a holding place to the right of the tree, to think it all over - not that there is any way out of course! It's only natural that not all are faithful and those who break the law do so at their peril! You can see some of those on the left of the picture where they are prevented by an invisible shield from making further contact with the rest of the community, while they await their ultimate fate.
