This candid photograph was taken during a summer afternoon with good friends at the lake. I believe that in order to capture the beauty and emotion of humans within photographs, the eyes being clear and vibrant within the image is essential. The various contrasting colours and reflection in the models eyes allows their depth and beauty to be shown, and also draws the viewers attention to their allurement. The small details such as the coral of her swimsuit, allows the eye to travel around the photograph and brings contrast as well as complimenting colours into the composition of the image. I used the rule of thirds in order to achieve satisfying harmony and composition. The elegance and artistry of the models natural beauty is very different from societies perception of beauty, which is why I am so fond of this photograph.
