Description 15”x15”x4”, made of clay. The wings, helmet trimming, and the center of the emblem are done in white terrasigilatta. The rest is acryllic paint, and brown paint wash rubbed into cracks to acheive a battle-worn appearance.

This was for an assignment to make an ancestor or memorial mask. This is a dedicated to J.R.R. Tolkein, made in the style of the helmets of Gondor's tower guard.

The tree designs on each side are a reference to the Two Trees of Valinor, the symbol at the top is Tolkein's monogram and around the outside is the inscription on the One Ring which I carved into the clay.
