Description So, the first deviation I put up of my Azula costume...is a ridiculous spoof scenario lol.

So new leaked episodes of Avatar made me remember my lonely little costume my friend Heather and I made. It's not technically finished because we still need to make the second shoulder-armor-plate-thing, and do the boot covers.

But I really wanted to do this picture for a random reason.

1. *right* *left* no one coming...
2. hmmmm...sky bison
3. <3 HUG <3
4. wait a minute...*notices someone watching* o_O
5. Dying Time. You've seen too much.

I love my Appa plushie lol.

Really, that's the reason Azula took down the Kyoshi Warriors to get to Appa. Not to find the Avatar, but because she knew he was cuddly.

Azula and Appa are property of Avatar the Last Airbender, yada yada.

AHAHAHA. I haven't watched much of avatar, but that made me chuckle quite hard.

Wow, did you two make that costume from scratch? If so (or even if not), that amazing!

More than half is from scratch.

We made the shirt and pants. We cut and sewed the pink undershirt and the pants from the same roll of dull pink fabric.

The red sleeveless top is one that I actually found at Savers, along with a red skirt(lower half, not in the pictures) that matches in color, and was the perfect length (and then I just cut and pin it to look like Azula's). So, it was the greatest thrift shopping find for the costume lol.

The shoulder plate thing we made ourselves from fabric, as well as the arm guards. We were trying to find a good way to sew it, and I just said "screw this" and whipped out a hot glue gun lol. We'll have to go back and sew some things like the snaps, but the glue holds the shoulder armor together without showing thread like sewing would have.

That's really amazing, hot glue gun or not.

Thanks

And, I am pretty amazing with a hot glue gun lol.

This summer my friend and I plan to finish it. I think the boots are going to be the hardest part, but she figures they'll be fine. Meh, she's the sewing master.

That's super cute/funny!

Nice costume, btw! You got the hairpiece super accurately.

Thanks ^ ^. I guess this is where my perfectionist personality pays off.

The hairpiece was the easiest part because I'm good with making things out of Sculpey.

My friend Heather sewed the pink undershirt (she a threadbender).

I can't wait until we finish it completely.

Ha, if that actually happened, I'd assume that either Azula had a dose of "King Bumi's Happy Pills" ([link] ) or she really did finally snap lol.
