There was a bit of a breakfast club vibe going on during that scene in The Beach episode.

Actually, I'm pretty sure this scene in "The Beach" *is* suppose to be like The Breakfast Club. I think it was an intentional parelell :3

I love this! I didn't know there were many Avatar fans who were old enough to also be Breakfast Club fans. Glad I'm not the only one! I'm adding this to my faves.

Ha! I'm glad I'm not alone on this. When I saw the campfire scene, I got alot of flashbacks to all the teenage angst being unloaded in Breakfast Club. Zuko was a blend of Andrew and Bender, Ty Lee was Claire, Mai was Allison. I dunno who Azula was, but she certainly was no Brian.
I espicially saw a parrallel between Zuko's line about "My father taught me a permanent lesson! On my face!" and Bender's "I got a carton of ciggerettes! Old man grabbed me and said 'smoke up, Johnny!'"

There were so many parallel moments, it was hilarious. Azula had a little bit of Bender there, like the part where she does the slow clap after Zuko admits his feelings.
When Zuko said that his dad taught him a lesson on his face, I immediatley pictured the part where Bender shows Andrew the burn mark on his arm.
I think I'd like to make another quick picture, with everyone saying "C'mom, just answer the question. Talk to us. Answer the question!" Zuko: "Okay, I've never done it!!" lol

Heh. Indeed... I also thought back to the scene about Claire's virginity when Zuko was being pestered about his anger.

Haha, that's awesome. I can totally imagine Zuko saying that.
Although, personally I prefer Bender. He's so cool!
You have kick ass drawing skills, by the way.

I thought it was alot like Breakfast Club. Man, Avatar's been using alot of 80's movies for their episodes.
I loved Ty Lee in that episode because she wasn't super happy the whole time. Though I was right about her being nuts, the nature of her "Problems" are different than I first thought. And does anyone else think that she was PMSing? I mean, she cried alot. ALOT. She never really seemed to cry at all, and the only emotions she showed was happiness and fear of Azula, and now she cries...what, three times in one epie?
