Description I am VERY proud of this one.

This is another example of my woodburning on an original image. Well...MOSTLY original. You may recognize the pose a little...I borrowed it from another image I really liked [link] . I found this plaque at "Wally-World" as well, and just loved the shape of it but had no idea what to decorate it with. After having it for a few weeks, and after having :shirotsuki:'s deviation set as my desktop wallpaper, it just hit me!

So, this is a depictiong of my old character Silver. Now, to a certain someone who comes to my gallery every day (you know who you are!), I made this intentionally thinking of you. As soon as I had the idea of an anthro wolf jumping into the moon, I knew I had to make it Silver just for you.

Now, if you saw my previous deviation, I recently started experimenting with watercolors on woodburnings. I hope I didn't ruin this by adding the colors...but I am actualy quite fond of it. i did take a photo of this before I colored it so I will have to upload that later into my scraps so you can see the difference.

Most woodburners stay away from coloring their work for fear of it looking too much like a painting and distracting of the actual woodburning. I feel the same way, however, watercolors are very transparent and still allow the burnings to show through. So...that was why i was so fond of the idea.

So, to my one and only true fan, the one who has followed my art since I first started into the "werewolf" world, this is for you.

My god, this piece is amazing! As a fellow of your craft, I have never thought to add watercolor to a piece of mine. Wow, is there anything you did to the wood before adding water colors? My style is similar to yours, but you have been able to capture all that I can not. I hope that one day I will create a piece even half as captivating as yours.
