Hey all! Here's another one for Commander 2018, probably my favorite piece I did for the set - the Survivor token! Like I hinted at when I posted the sketch, my goal emotion here was fierce determination (as opposed to fear and flight). Like the one person in the village who was able to gather all their courage and fight back. That's why I went for a static and symmetrical pose - "dynamic" isn't always the best choice, I think. The rest was easy, color choice to set the mood was a no brainer, and then I put a little spotlight on her face to lead the viewer there.
