is this a Shadowmoor/Lorowyn elf? I've always been a fan of both. I'm pretty sure there's no Shadowmor/Lorowyn in Origins, but I don't know for sure

It actually is: Origins follow the "origin" stories of 5 planeswalkers (Jace, Liliana, Jideon, Chandra and Nissa) and Dwynen is connected with Nissa. In fact Nissa's first planar shift was towards Lorwyn, so in this set there will be Lorwyn's elves

Can't say I don't like it, it's so painterly 
Yet it was done a year ago, so crits are quite senseless at this point as the newer works have all the fixes xD

I'm following you for quite some years now and I really have to say that you seem to have lost your feel for values in the composition somewhere along the way. Your rendering is spot on and something I always liked, but the overall values seem kinda same-y. I saw the thumbnail for this one in my feed and it was barely readable. I think this artwork would benefit so much if you would make the background high key and keep the character mid to low key. There aren't really strong shapes in this artwork, its all mushed up in the midtones.

Especially when looking at a small size thumbnail on a card I can see this being hardly readable at first. I'm looking forward to your answer and opinion on this.

Lovely job Algenfleger! I love the way you have rendered her skin and particularly her ears - they have a lovely sheen! Stellar work as always. What was the card description for this one, did you get a lot of freedom? Keen living the dream
