Amnesia: the dark decent
Chapter 2

August 4th 1822,
~I couldn't believe that it was really going to happen , my mother was going to have a baby and father couldn't be happier, "I" couldn't be happier. The baby would be born in early march. Oh how i couldn't wait to be a big sister!~

It seems that after the journal entry my head started to hurt, a strong of sent of blueberry's hit my nose before i fell deep into the thought.....

The day was crisp and clean in our little mountain valley. It was starting to get cold but you could still feel the sun shining threw the on coming gloom. I found myself out in the the valley picking berry's for this is the last time we could pick them before they started to go bad or early autumn frost got to them before us. Climbing up the hill side and to the back door of the house i stopped to see that Dr. Samuel 's was leaving his doctor bag in hand and my mother and father waving happily as he went on his marry way. Going threw the kitchen to place the berry's in the a basin i quickly joined them on the porch in hopes to know what the sudden visit was about in a time like this, there was a flue going around but nothing serious then the last year , mother, father and me were in perfect heath other then mother concerned about her growing weight,pain and appetite. Maybe she was worried that she had gotten a stomach virus and hoped that the doctor could sort it all out for her before it got to serious and something bad happens. Making my way onto the front porch i was happily greeted by mother and father.

"What was that about? is everything alright father?" i spoke worry in my eyes.

"Yes yes everything is fine don't worry dear." he spoke patting my head threw my bonnet his whiskers dancing as he smiled.

"Then what was the doctor doing here?" i spoke not really bought on what my father was saying to me.

Mother laughed.

"Always such a worry wort you are, i called him to look in at my stomach trouble." she spoke lightly her blond locks waving as she moved towards me.

"And ...what did he say are you ok?"

"Yes I'm fine dear I'm just igspecting that's all." Mother smiled.

I looked at her in shock and then at father and then back at her. Happiness grew up from the pit of my stomach and up into my lungs. I clapped happily.

"You mean I'm going to be a big sister."

Father nodded.

"It will be your job to look after you mother well I'm in town every day now that she is working and fending for two i hope that you would treat it as if the baby was already with us." Father spoke

"Not a problem father i will do my best to make sure mother is fine and happy i will even take the harder choirs so that she doesn't have to stress about it, I'm sure she'll want to tell all her friends and get started on the nursery." I beamed

"That's my girl!" Father laughed.

I could feel happiness in my heart as i was overcome from happiness from the feeling of having a sibling..though as the happiness faded...sadness started to seep in as i read the next entry of the journal....
