I can't help it, some commissions just happen to look good from the first minute of sketching to the finishing touch, and some just turn out looking weird no matter how hard I try, and it just makes me feel terrible. ;-;

First of all, the dynamic pose of this artwork is absolutely amazing! The details especially the fur is nice and smoothing of course. I like how the dog on the right face expression. It showed me some feelings where it think of something that really deep. I don't know but that's what my perspective on it. The choice of colours is good in this artwork. You could try to improve it by learning the colours theory, for example the shading. Of course, in real life there's no way if a base colour, the shading colour must be darker of it colour, right? There's must be different other colour blends with it as the shining surface colour of the object reflect it. But still, the overall impression is great! Yeap, I recommend you to learn and study more on colour theory as it will greatly improve your artworks with the stunning colours choice along with the dynamic structures!
