Well I recently bought my Macro lens, the 50mm f2.5 for my Canon 60D and a week into I decided to try some shots at home. Since everyone does insects and plants and I had my fair share, I decided to try something else. I wanted a duotone of this one so I used my laptop as the background to get the blue.What you see is a lanyard I made myself about 2 years ago which I held in a cup to take the picture. The background as I just stated is of my laptop screen so I could get the blue to match with the lanyard.
Technical aspects: I used my tripod so I could get a longer exposure in order to lower the iso settings and get a cleaner result. The camera is a Canon 60D with a 50mm f2.5 macro lens.
This is also a contest in macro photography that I just found out about today.

it is an interesting shot, but i believe to qualify for the contest there must be a detailed description of what it is and how you obtained the shot, lastly including equipment used.

Ok I will make sure to update the description right now. I can write the equipment used too. I didn't simply because DA already writes it on the bottom right under where the pageviews go and such. Thanks for the comment
